Life as a Black: Catching Up

So I realize that catching up is a common theme of my blog...hopefully one day I will be a lot better about regular blogging - maybe after I am finished with school. Time flies by when you are going to school full time and working full time (especially night shift!).

I have been working on finishing up this last bit of school - I only have to make it until March 11th! We only have actual class for part of the semester and then we start capstone - where we work with a nurse preceptor for 112 hours, then graduation, and then I just have to pass the boards :)! I have also been working a lot. I am exhausted all of the time, but by the time I am working as an RN, we will have enough to buy a house and we are paying off a lot of things, so it is for the better. We recently started looking into homebuying and whoa! what a process. We met with someone at a bank yesterday and got schooled in getting a mortgage, which is great! Now we know what to be doing with our money for the next several months until we buy our first house, hopefully this summer! It is interesting to see how much (or how little!) you get for your money in different parts of Bloomington. We have had an interesting time looking - but, it makes for fun times to go get ice cream and drive around to look at the houses we have looked at online.
