OK. So it has been a LONG time since I last wrote. Whoops. I will just give a recap - probably a long one - of what has been going on. Change of plans. I just realized how long this would be, so I am going to make it into separate posts!
The day of our rehearsal was incredibly hectic - mostly because I didn't want to do any of the crap that was left - and it was just that...crap. But by noon, I think I had finished the seating chart, place cards, and table signs. All before Ryan was back from dropping Molly off at the vet for boarding :(. I was incredibly proud of myself. Although, I really was hoping to get some sun that day - and now looking back on the pictures I probably should have! I gathered everything up, picked up my dress from being steamed, and headed to the Hotel/Convention Center.
I checked into the hotel room that the girls and I were going to be staying in that night, and unloaded. I checked out my dress only to find that it had a black stain on the bodice - oh well. I figured the material reflected light well enough that it wouldn't matter! I got ready for the rehearsal, the girls showed up, and over to the Convention Center we went (just a 3 second walk in the connecting way). We finished folding the programs, and the centerpieces were not the ones I had picked out! Which sucked extra bad because I had several that I wanted to keep for our future home to put shells, candles, etc in. Well - guess that won't happen.
After everyone was there, we tried to get on with the rehearsal. It wasn't a big deal until I was explaining to our officiant and wedding planner how I wanted things to work and they had to put in their 2 cents. Which led to me almost crying and having a meltdown. Thank the Lord for my dad - he just kept telling me to go along with it, it was her day, and it would be over soon enough :).
We headed over to Mother Bear's Pizza - the best pizza ever, seriously - for our rehearsal dinner. It ended up being a madhouse there, and we had to wait for our section to clear, but it was worth the wait. I was glad I got to sit next to my dad and Ryan! We hung out and got to see friends that we don't get to see often. After that, Ryan's friend had a bonfire at his house and I wanted to go, but none of my girls did. Regrets, regrets! We went back to the room and hung out - and I think I ended up sleeping for 2 or 3 hours that night.
