So I thought I was off to a great start by writing 2 days in a row, then I worked 3, was off 2, and worked 3 more. Now, here we are. It is amazing how time flies when working 12 hour night shifts, sleeping the days away, trying to keep an apartment in order, and trying to finish planning a wedding! WOW! We are T-minus 21 days from the wedding and it feels very surreal! For so long, it was so far away, and now here we are less than 1 month to the "big day". I am not going to lie, I look forward to the day when I don't have to answer questions about the wedding or pretend to be excited about it because that is what I am supposed to do. At the same time, I am not ready for everyone to start asking about having kids either - because that is waaayyy off! At least 5 years people! Maybe I will make a sticker or sign to wear so that people won't have to ask!
Anyways, Since I last wrote, I haven't been terribly busy. I worked of course, then on Monday we had our final meeting with our venue's event coordinator - who is wonderful! She is so helpful and not in the least bit pushy - if only she could coordinate this entire thing! We finalized the menu, time line, ordered linens, and finalized the set up of the rooms. Then we met with the wedding planner and finally, went to dinner with Ryan's parents and the decorator. Whew - what an afternoon! Since Monday, I have worked and last night (Friday), we made a trip to Shelbyville, IN for a calling at a funeral home. Last night, I was exhausted early, but woke up at 2:00 a.m. with a hungry stomach - your body remembers when you usually eat! So, reluctantly, I got up and had a bowl of Raisin Bran and hung out with Molly. I have been up since. Oh well - today should be a pretty fun day. We are going to a parade downtown and then to the Bloomington Farmer's Market - one of my absolute favorite things to do in life! If you haven't been, you should go - no matter where you live!
Hopefully I will be a bit more diligent about writing, but I am going into work tonight at 1 a.m. for 1/2 a shift and then work Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights followed by an oil change and dental appointment on Wednesday, a dress fitting on Thursday, an event to attend on Friday, meeting with Ryan's aunt and uncle - our DJ on Saturday, and work on Sunday - I just got exhausted thinking about all of that! Maybe we can sneak a trip into Cincinnati on Saturday since we will be so close!
