Seriously...I have to get better at this

So being a full time student and working nearly full time nightshift makes time fly by. I am going to do my best to get better at this. Hopefully after I graduate in May, it will make it much easier!

My birthday was October 29, and Ryan was out of town for work :( So several of my friends and I went to an apple orchard and picked up some apples, Asian pears (if you haven't had one, you need to try it!), and fresh dipped fresh apples! Yummo! Later, we went out to eat at one of my favorite places, Scotty's, and then my friend Katie had a fire at her place. Saturday, my dad and his wife came up and we went to dinner at my most favorite place, Mother Bear's. If you know me, you know I would die for this pizza! That evening, Molly and I just kind of hung out and enjoyed ourselves. On Tuesday, November 2, it was Election Day! Finally! It turned out to be a great day for Ryan and his candidates (and all Republicans really!) all of his candidates won except for 1 - not bad at all for a first timer :).

On November 3, in the morning, Molly rolled over for her belly rub and I saw a strange looking 'thing' near one of her nipples - it kind of looked like an abscess and I was afraid I had brought MRSA home from the hospital and she had gotten it :(. I called Ryan and he said he would look at it when he got home that evening and we would decide what to do. Like me, he thought it looked too strange, and decided to take her to the vet the next day. I had a 13 hour clinical day, so he would have to take her alone. I kept taking breaks to check my phone during the clinical day - during 1 of them, I had several missed calls from Ryan. I called him back, it was a tumor and they were super concerned about it and wanted to do the surgery right then. I had to hold back my tears because I still had 5 hours to go in my day at the hospital. I let it all out after clinical and bawled all the way home. I have no idea what we would do without her! We were able to pick her up the next morning and she was as sweet as could be! She didn't really act like she had just had surgery, Here is a picture of her after we picked her up:

Ahh...couldn't you just die?

So, the vet said he felt great about the surgery and that he cleared all of the margins while removing the tumor, which was a sigh of relief for us! Molly was only sad because she couldn't go to the dog park. We gave her plenty of treats to make up for it...whoops.

The next couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, I just worked, had class, and went to clinical. On Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving, Ryan and I went to see Due Date at the theatre, which we don't do very often. It was hilarious!! We enjoyed it. On Thanksgivng Day, we spent the day at my grandma's house and ate delicious food and enjoyed the day :) I didn't get to spend much time with Kinley because certain people in my family hogged her :( So on Friday, after I got back to Ryan's parents' from shopping, she brought her over so she could get in some quality time with her auntie :) That day was my Dad's birthday, so we decided to lay a surprise on him, which is hard to do! I asked him if he had plans and he said just making homemade pizzas and watching the IU game, I asked him if Ryan and I could come over (knowing that Ryan wouldn't be coming!). No problem, so when I showed up, I made him sit in the living room then went out and got Kendra and Kinley and brought them in! He was so surprised! It was awesome! The best part was his wife wasn't there, so the 3 of us got to spend some time together that evening! It was such a great night!

On Sunday, before Ryan and I came back home, my sister brought Kinley over so I could hang out with her 1 last time before I left. Here are a few pictures :)

Is she not the sweetest thing?

 Little yawn :)

Hanging with Uncle Ryan!

Then it was back home for a super busy week! Monday I had an exam and then worked that night, Wednesday a dentist appointment, Thursday I donated blood and had a group meeting, Friday I had a test and a paper due and work that night, I also worked Saturday night, then on Sunday Ryan and I met up with his entire family in Indianapolis to head to the Cowboys vs, Colts game. Ryan, his aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandparents are all huge Cowboys fans. His parents are Colts fans, but kind of the bandwagon type. We had a blast and I was surprisingly pleasant for being awake for nearly 32 hours straight. And the Cowboys won!

Coming back that week, Monday I had 2 group meetings and an exam, Tuesday I had a simulation and worked that night, Thursday we had to present projects at Grand Rounds at the hospital, and Friday we had ethical debates in class. Needless to say it has been a long 2 weeks of classes. Saturday night, my favorite nursing professor had a wonderful Christmas party for us at her house. She cooked tons of amazing food and we sat around and hung out then had a giant cookie exchange! I worked Sunday night, relaxed on Monday, had a study group on Tuesday, and should be studying right now for the final I have tonight at 5.

I finally feel like I am caught up on here, now my goal is to make at least 5 more posts before Christmas! Seriously, our life is so hectic right now that we didn't even put up a tree this year and I don't have a single gift bought :( It breaks my heart, but there was no time to put it up! Today I am hoping to get some studying done and then booking our trip back to Jamaica for next July!!!! I absolutely cannot wait to get back there and slow down for a while! After my final tonight, I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. Pretty sure I'll be dead come Wednesday, but I will have a paycheck! I'm signing off with pictures of sweet baby Kinley!

 Sleeping on my chest :)
In her Puma outfit I bought her :)
Smiling beauty!

She has to stop growing! I can't handle this!
