I am hoping that someday [soon] my blogs will be more interesting; mainly, when I have time to have a life. Until then, I want to be able to look back on this time in our lives and see what we were going through and what was happening in our lives.
So, as per my usual, the last couple of weeks I have been working, going to class, sleeping, and trying to maintain our household. I am a walking zombie on a daily basis, but soon, it should be better. My last clinical at Bradford Woods at a camp for adults with disabilities is this weekend, and I cannot wait for it to be over. In a couple of weeks, we have spring break, then a week before we start capstone, and after 112 hours in capstone [and a project], I will be all ready to graduate! Then, I just have to pass my boards, and I will be finished with school for a while - until I go back for a master's.
Ryan and I enjoyed our nice spring preview last weekend by taking Molly on a [very] long walk, heading out for ice cream, and looking at houses. It was the first Sunday we have had together with no plans for probably about 3 months! We had no idea what to do, so we sat around most of the day trying to think of cool things to do, only to realize that it was Valentine's weekend and everything would be packed [blah]. Monday (Valentine's Day), we went to breakfast and I asked Ryan, "Why is everyone wearing so much red?" And he tells me it is because it is Valentine's Day. That is a pretty good example of how we are about Valentine's day. I hate it and boycott it every year. We usually just hang out and order Mother Bear's, like any other day of the week :)

Baby Its Cold Outside
It has been extra cold around these parts the last few days!
Last Thursday, we went to meet with our realtor to discuss the home buying process. Holy crap, what did we get ourselves into? My head started spinning, then she started talking about building a home in our price range, which doesn't seem like the best idea for us, and I thought my head was going to pop off! Afterwards, she had told us about a lot to look at so we drove out to check it out - not going to work. Ryan had an event Thursday evening, so I kicked back and hung out with Molly and the DVR.
Friday, I worked, of course! Saturday, I slept, then woke up, then slept some more! Ryan and I hung out, ordered pizza, and watched some DVR. Sunday, I woke up a little earlier than Ryan, but we just hung out. I took a nap, then we got ready and headed to a friend's house to watch the Super Bowl. Neither of us had anything invested in it, so we didn't care who won or lost. It was an OK game, but we had a great time.
Monday, I taught basic aid again, then afterwards, Ryan and I drove around to look at a list of houses we had checked out online. It was incredibly depressing and I came home and ate a bowl of rocky road. Out of a list of 9 or 10 houses, we found 2 that we could even call OK. They make things seem so much different online! After I finished sulking, I did another search online, expanded our options, and looked at homes I had looked past before. We had a new list, so out we went again. This time, we found several that we both liked, and 1 that we both love! Success! Hopefully. Now, we have 2 homes that we really like. We are not looking to buy until May/June, but we need to know what we want and in what part of town we want it.
I am working tonight and tomorrow! Have a good one everyone!

Weekend Update
Hello dear readers (if you are out there)!
We had a busy, relaxing, and fun weekend. Friday night I worked (of course), slept for a while on Saturday then woke up and got ready. We went to Ryan's grandparents' 50th anniversary party in North Vernon. So, surprisingly, we weren't incredibly late getting out the door - with a tired wife, cranky husband, and sweet dog! We got to North Vernon, dropped Molly off at Ryan's parents' house, and then headed to the party location. We helped set up and anxiously awaited the arrival of the food :).
We had a really fun night! Besides the fact the DJs were absolutely awful (2 teachers from JCSC). We ended up playing flippy cup at one of the tables...real classy I know! But...they did not have 1 song that we requested all night. Give me a break! Afterwards, (silly us!) went into North Vernon to grab a bite to eat...no big deal, right? Well, there is nothing open at 1:00 a.m. on a Saturday night - unlike here at home where you could have anything your little heart desires to eat at that time (Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, ice cream, pizza...). So, we broke down and ordered pizza and breadsticks from Papa John's (vomit). At least the breadsticks weren't too bad. I just think that they have the most awful tasting pizza of all time! We finally got to bed around 2:00 a.m.
We slept until 10:45, when the alarm went off because I had a date with my sister and Kinley :) They came over to Ryan's parents' house and we got to hang out for a bit and I gave her the new onesies I got for her - they have monkies on them :). We had to go visit my grandma, so we all loaded up into my car, made a stop at Dairy Queen, and then went visiting. I was sad when we had to leave to drop Kendra and Kinley off at their house :'( I am always sad to leave them...our time goes way to fast!
Ryan and I headed back to his parents' house to have dinner before we left to go home. We ordered from the Log Cabin Inn, which I am not a fan of, but I got a really good dinner that wasn't even what I ordered. We came home later than usual, which threw me off. I showered and got ready for bed, then hit the hay. Seriously, I was asleep by 9:00 p.m.
Monday, I taught Basic Aid Training to 4th graders at a local elementary school. They are a riot! We asked the class for examples of emergencies and one boy responded (seriously) "when cosmic rays from space come down and destroy your DNA." Yep! That is our future! We headed out for free wine and hors d'oeuvres :) at Scenic View restaurant. On our way back home, the ice had started falling, but we made it home safe and sound.
Tuesday, I ran some errands with Ryan - we went to the post office, bank, etc. Nothing too eventful. I took a short nap before I headed into work Tuesday (extra early for the ice storm). I worked Tuesday night and Wednesday night (tonight). Tomorrow (Thursday), we are meeting with a realtor to talk about this whole home buying thing. The timeline, the process, all the good stuff.
I don't want to be too premature, but I have been blogging a little bit more consistently lately :) Go me!
Have a great day everyone! Stay warm!
